A TOUCH OF WHITE

TOUCH OF WHITE is an entirely 3D printed pocket-sized book. As a substitution for paper, which is easily damaged and contaminated, the 3D printing material is capable of biodegrading at a faster rate than plastic while offering the same level of sanitation and utility. The book introduces several important elements in a Japanese garden, one of the physical representations of the peacefulness and quietness in the past. While the content of the book is about the slowness of the life, the fabrication of the book is by a fast-paced technology innovation. Which world is better? This is a question left for the reader to answer. With pages removable by sliding, the readers are able to interact with the book layer by layer, as if walking through a Japanese garden.
